CAMP OLIVAS – Police forces on Sunday discovered a lair of rebel troops in Botolan, Zambales.
Members of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Botolan MPS, 305th MC, RMFB3, 33rd Mechanized Company, Philippine Army, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) found in the area one unit M1 garand rifle, 28 pieces of M1 garand cartridge ball, two hand grenades, two cartridges for .40, three buckshot grenades, a dilapidated M16 rifle, subversive documents, nine green backpacks, five pistol belts, a flag of Communist Party of the Philippines, assorted clothes, medical and food supplies, and assorted sanitation and hygiene supplies.
“Our campaign against insurgency has no let-up. Due to our non-stop efforts together with the AFP, the CTGs continue to suffer setbacks. We are doing the best we can to eventually achieve the goal of RTF-ELCAC,” said PRO3 Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.
