CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Department of Science and Technology- Applied Science and Technology lnstitute (DOST-ASTI) presented the outputs on the enhancement and upgrading undertaken on the NTC Fixed and Mobile Benchmarking System or NTC Netmesh on November 15, 2O22 at the Bendix Hotel here.
NTC 3 Regional Director Azor Dalmacio L. Sitchon said that the existing NTC Netmesh is a collaborative project between DOST-ASTI and NTC (Regions l, IV, and Xll), while the enhancement and upgrading of the system is jointly supported by NTC Regions lll, Vlll, Xl, and Xlll. NTC Regions Vlll, XI and Xlll shall have their respective launching and presentations soon.
Sitchon said the Netmesh Project was aimed to audit and assess the quality of service of local Internet Service Providers {lSPs) in the Philippines by conducting benchmarking activities between the advertised speed and the actual internet speed, with the end in view of improving the state of internet services in the Philippines.
