P1.5-M  shabu seized in Zambales

CAMP OLIVAS — Over P1.5 million worth of shabu were seized and a couple was arrested on Saturday in Subic, Zambales.

In his report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, Zambales police chief Col. Fitz Macariola said  operatives of the Subic and Zambales police along with PDEU Zambales PPO, 1st and 2nd PMFC conducted a buy-bust in Sitio Bukid, Bgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales which resulted to the arrest of  Joemmeir John Leapart alias “Jun Marzan” and Angelica Leaparat, both residents of Sitio Bukid, Brgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.

Confiscated from them were 14  plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 227.2 grams with estimated street value of P1,544,960, drug paraphernalias, a green sling bag and P3,000 marked money.

Macariola said Joemmeir is a high-value target and member of the Naldi drug group.

“We are committed to suppress the proliferation of illegal drugs as we support the DILG’s ‘Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan’ (BIDA) program while we continue to run after those who are involved in the illegal drug trade to deter criminality and lawlessness,” Pasiwen said.
