CAMP OLIVAS – Police Regional 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay ordered a thorough investigation into the killing on Saturday of a barangay chairman running for city councilor in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Baccay said victim Alvin Mendoza, 52, a resident of Purok 3, Bgy. Alasas, City of San Fernando, was in an SUV (CAB 2309) going to Bgy. Magliman, when he was ambushed by two men on a motorcycle.
Baccay immediately ordered the creation of a special task group headed by the Pampanga police director for the speedy identification and apprehension of the suspects as well as protection of other family members of the victim.
