SM malls in Pampanga recently brought joy to kids, communities and selected organizations in the province through the SM Bears of Joy initiative.
Children at the Sitio Target Integrated School in Barangay Sapang Bato, Angeles City; the Sitio Diaz community in Mabalacat; and The Autism Society of Pampanga, under the direction of Joyla Ofrecia, received Bears of Joy from employees of SM City Clark.
Meanwhile, Barangays Saguin Barangay Sto Nino were the recipients of bears from SM City Telabastagan and SM San Fernando Downtown, respectively.
SM Bears of Joy is an annual donations initiative sponsored by SM Cares, SM Supermalls, and Toy Kingdom, goal of which is to encourage mall visitors to purchase two specially created bear plushies for the holidays—one for themselves and the other to donate to children.
The program seeks to give SM’s community of customers an opportunity to contribute to the happiness and generosity of others in addition to bringing much-needed smiles to children during the Christmas season.
The annual gift-giving event helps needy children and enables employees to appreciate the true spirit of Christmas. Thousands of less disadvantaged children across the country have benefited from this project throughout the years.
