Thinking digital: Converge is now in Boracay

BORACAY – Converge ICT Solutions started to venture outside of Luzon two years ago – and it has not stopped since. Now, it has made a big push by powering the island of Boracay.

On May 3, it formally launched its brand and products at the Hennan Palm Beach Resort Boracay, graced by Converge Co-Founder and CEO Dennis Anthony Uy, who challenged the attendees to think digital and transform their operations for greater efficiency and better serve the demands of tech-reliant travelers.

Also attending the launch was Malay, Aklan Mayor Floribar Bautista, who expressed gratitude to Converge for helping Boracay transform into a “digital island”.

“Our plan for Boracay is to rally be a digital island. Converge is of big help (to the plan),” Bautista told Pampanga News Now.

Attended by local business owners, LGUs, industry associations, and the media, the much-awaited event saw the launch of its extensive line of products and services from all its segments (residential, SME, and Enterprise).

This includes its partnership with SweldoMo, which paves the way for very affordable, reliable, efficient digital internet connectivity and solutions for Payroll and Human Resource Information System – aiming to bring forth innovations for people to work effectively and efficiently at any given place and time.

“We started to venture outside of Luzon two years ago so our entry into the country’s hottest tourist destinations is an achievement for us. We are finally here in Boracay so now businesses of every size can harness the full potential of digitization with our pure fiber connectivity and tailored solutions. Our service does not only mean a better digital experience for their customers but a more seamless way of working and operating,” said Uy.

Meanwhile, Converge Chief Operations Officer Jesus C. Romero said they worked hard to be able to reach Boracay’s shores.

“We are ecstatic to finally be able to celebrate our arrival with the people of Boracay. We are proud to have made the effort and investments in expanding our fiber footprint here,” he said. “We want to provide the residents and businesses of Boracay with the best possible experience through our fast, reliable, consistent, and affordable digital solutions. With world-class fiber broadband connectivity, we assure you, Boracay will be a paradise reborn.”

The hospitality industry is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the company’s arrival as the island braces itself for the surge of local and international tourists after the lifting of pandemic restrictions and the abrupt government-imposed seven-month closure to rehabilitate the island.

Businesses and their patrons are expected to enjoy the benefits of seamless, secured, and uninterrupted business-grade connectivity services, which LGU officials declared will help increase the island’s revenue and cement its status as the ultimate world-class travel destination. Meanwhile, local residents will finally have access to stable and affordable internet with Converge flagship connectivity product, FiberX.

“We see Boracay beyond the lens of being a tourist destination,” Converge Marketing Head Orange Ramirez said. “Local residents and small and medium enterprises within the island are just as important to us, so we are also offering the same wide range of award-winning, reasonably priced products to them that our subscribers from other parts of the country already enjoy. At Converge, we always make sure that we are offering the best connectivity solutions to uplift everyone.”

With vibrant nightlife and the pristine, white sand shores of the island paradise guaranteeing wave after wave of tourists, the power of pure end-to-end fiber will ensure sustainability. Providing the guests with reliable connections will make the experience even better and something they can treasure “with every fiber, forever.”
