CAMP OLIVAS – Two Nigerians were arrested in Angeles City on Saturday in a drug bust, yielding at least P1.7-million shabu, police said.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen identified the suspects as Chekwbe Nnamani Sunday alias David, 28, a resident of  Brgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, and Ifeanyi Augustine Chinweuba alias Fanny, 33,  of Sampaloc, Manila.

The two were apprehended after they tried to sell illegal drugs to undercover police officers in a buy-bust conducted by the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit and Angeles City police at a mall terminal in Brgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.

Seized from the suspects were two plastic bags and two plastic sachets containing shabu weighing approximately 250 grams valued at P1.7 million, P1,000 marked money and nine P1,000 in boodle money.

Pasiwen said investigation is being conducted to find out if the suspects are linked to the West African Drug Syndicate (WADS).

“We will continue to conduct intelligence operations on drug dealers and users, both foreign and local to eliminate the supply of illegal drugs across the region,” Pasiwen said.
