293 Mabalaquenians get P5.9-M medical aid

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Through an initiative spearheaded by the Mayor’s Office, a total of 293 beneficiaries from various barangays in this city received medical assistance totaling P5.9 million, during a distribution event held at the Dolores covered court.

The distribution was held as part of an ongoing effort by the city goverment through the City Social Assistance Office (CSAO) to address the specific financial and health needs of less privileged Mabalaquenians.

Prior to the event, recipients’ needs were carefully assessed by the CSAO to ensure that the assistance provided would be adequate for their respective health concerns.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, known for his proactive approach to healthcare, initiated this program to assist Mabalaquenians who struggle with medical expenses and hospital costs. The cheques were distributed on his behalf by Glenn Tiongco.

CSAO Head Ma. Luisa Maglalang commented on the initiative, emphasizing its significance: “This aid represents our commitment to the health and well-being of our community. It is important to us that those who need help receive it, and we will continue to work hard to make that a reality.”

Also present during the event were staff from the Office of the City Treasurer and the CSAO, as well as Barangay Dolores Captain Jerry “Jake” Tanglao, who was accompanied by his council and medical team.
