Cops nab 2 female drug pushers in Angeles City

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Two notorious female drug pushers tagged by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency as high value targets are now languishing in jail after they were arrested in a police sting in Angeles City yesterday.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. identified the suspects as Cherry Manalo Munoz of Barangay Cutcut and Roseilyn Bigayan Rosellosa of Barangay Malabanas all in Angeles City.

Hidalgo said the two women were caught Friday in an entrapment operation during separate police operations launched by the city’s anti-drug enforcement unit.

First to fall was Munoz who was caught red-handed after receiving the marked money from a cop poseur-buyer in exchange of more or less 55 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P374,000 at around 1 AM in Barangay Cutcut.

Two hours later, police nabbed Rosellosa in Barangay Balibago after some 54 grams of shabu worth P370,000 were seized from her possession during a drug bust operation.

Hidalgo said the two women were reportedly responsible for distributing illegal drugs in night clubs and other entertainment establishments in the red light district of Angeles City.

Police are currently looking into the involvement of the two women in a drug syndicate operating in Central Luzon and Metro Manila.

Criminal charges for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 were filed in court against the said suspects.

“The results of these operations prove that there are still a lot of illegal drugs circulating in the streets. Hence, we will keep on working day in and day out to stop the use and proliferation of any form of drugs prohibited by our law,” Hidalgo said.
