Bayanihan Media Awards National Winner

First in history: 1st ever Mr. and Ms. DHVSU School of Law named

The School of Law of Don Honorio Ventura State University on March 19, 2023 concluded its first founding anniversary celebration with the first-ever Mr. and Ms. School of Law pageant.

The historical pageant which was held at the University Gymnasium awarded the first faces of Mr. and Ms. — Roloyd M. Gozun and Xilca Jasmin Manlutac.

Runners-up were Jaybee Puyat and Fevelyn Bautista.

Among the special awards were best photogenic won by Edchelle De Leon and Andrea Del Rosario; Gozun and Manlutac for casual wear; Gozun and Fevelyn Bautista for best in talent; Gozun and Manlutac for best sportswear and summer wear; and Juan Miguel Manaloto and Bautista for best in formal attire.

Serving as judges meanwhile during the event are SOL Dean Atty. Robert David Aquino; Prosecutor JT. Leonardo Santos; Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones, representative of City College of San Fernando; Ms. DHVSU First Runner-Up 2017 and Ms. DHVSU Senior High School 2017 Sophia Nicole Obmerga; and Mutya ning Kapampangan Bacolor representative and also Chairman of the Board of Judges Charisse Victoria Garcia.

The Organizing Committee of Mr. and Ms. DHVSU-SOL 2023 was also led by the College Secretary, Atty. Regina Salonga, including its members Jayson Fausto, Ma. Leah Fleurrane I. De Fiesta, Krista Camille Lagman, Mohana Serrano, Dorothy Grace Vitug, Leezen Nuñez, Guizella Panlilio, Layne Lavarias, and the tabulators — Mervin Jimenez and Ronnel Payawal.

The Organizing Committee sends its thanks to the sponsors for their generosity and support to the success of the event, such as Beautéderm Ambassadors Reina Manuel and IC Calaguas, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Datu, Casa Moda by Mich Viray, Touch and Glow Skin, Avon-Angeles City, Skin Royal, REX Bookstore, and Bacolor Councilor Efren Blanco.

Also included in the candidates of the first-ever pageant are Jenaro Cabornida, Wilbert Venzon, and Jan Micaela Quintela.

Coinciding with the pageant was also the recognition day of the top 10 students for the 1st semester, as well proclamation of winners for the first Law Student Government, which was announced by Prosecutor Beverly Pangilinan and the SOL COMELEC Board.
