Over 400 nabbed in crime ops in Region 3

CAMP OLIVAS — Almost 400  crime suspects were arrested in the region under the intensified Simultaneous Anti- Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of Police Regional Office 3.

Provincial and city police directors under PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon  arrested a total of 389 individuals in the week-long anti-crime drive from October 1 to 7.

Among those that were arrested include 121 with standing warrants of arrest for different crimes of whom 33 are Most Wanted persons; 107 were arrested over illegal drugs; 140 for illegal gambling; 10 in possession of loose firearms and 11 for illegal logging.

Some 7 assorted firearms were confiscated including 56.94 grams of Shabu with DDB Value of P387,006.40; 656 grams of Marijuana with DDB Value of P78,720 and P35,019 cash bets.

Meanwhile, in the stern implementation of Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS), 3,430 violators were apprehended.

De Leon said the Central Luzon police force has been keeping on its toes and has no let up in the crime mitigation efforts to deprive criminals with the opportunity to carry out their nefarious activities as well as ensure that the spread of CoVid-19 virus is being prevented thru strict enforcement of MPHS.

“More operations will be conducted in the coming days as part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) efforts to intensify its anti- crime campaign as well as part of the preparations for the coming elections next year,” De Leon added.
